REINCARNATION: Fact or Fiction

Not long ago there was a news broadcast about an eleven year old boy who had once been, in another life, an airplane pilot in World War11. At the onset of the story, I was as skeptical as anyone else, but as the story progressed my skepticism changed to, "Oh my God!"

This eleven year old boy knew the man's name, the ship he was on during the war, and actually described the bay of water overseas where he was shot down. He clearly described the plane he was flying and very intricate details of it that only a pilot would know. Not only did he know the name of the ship that he was on but was able to name all of the other ships in the taskforce.

When the news media got hold of this, they did some research and found that the man from World War11 had a sister who was still alive. They called her and turned the phone over to the young boy. He then proceeded to tell her things that only her brother would have known.

Okay, Folks, I'm appealing to all of my readers out there. Has anyone had an experience quite like this? Just hit the COMMENT button down below or send me an email. I am new at this stuff and am really curious.

DO YOU BELIEVE IN GHOSTS?

A few years ago, my wife and I spent a few days in Gatlinburg, Tenn. We stayed in a brand new high rise building with condo units to rent. Everything seemed normal in the kitchen, the living room and every other room except for one. Whenever my wife or I entered the bedroom, we got a creepy feeling. Neither one of us realized that the other was experiencing this because we just never talked about it until much later. I can't really explain the feeling other than it was cold and damp in there unlike the rest of the condo.

During the evening, my wife fell asleep on the couch, and I went onto bed. Several hours later, I got up to go to the bathroom. On the other side of the bed was only enough room to get in and out of bed. As I was walking alongside of the bed, I heard a distinct yet gravelly voice, say: "I'm over here." I turned and glanced at the tight area between the bed and the wall where the voice originated. It was a sight I'll never forget. It was a dark gray almost misty something or other in that corner. Needless to say, I was out of there in a flash. I told my wife what had happened, and it was then that we compared notes of our feelings about that particular room.

I must tell you that I am not the kind of guy who is prone to having such events happen in my life. That was the first and, hopefully, the last such experience. I still can remember that voice. It was loud, gravelly, but clear as a bell. "I'm over here." Scared the hell out of me if you'll pardon the french.

Now let's hear from you. I would love to hear from anybody out there who has had a similar experience. Just click onto the Comment thingy at the bottom of this blog and tell me about it. If not, then let me know if you believe in ghosts.

Just talking about that incident gives me a chill.

TEXTING KILLS

A few years ago, I read where a woman drove up over the curb and killed 6 kids who were waiting for the school bus. She was calling her hairdresser. I've often wondered how the parents of those children have been able to live with the loss especially when they remember that it was something as mundane as a call to the hairdresser.

In the last 6 years, over 16,000 people have been killed by people who are texting while driving. Can you imagine losing a loved one because someone was sending nonsense to a friend? During the execution of a text, the average person takes his eyes away from the road for 4.6 seconds. If they were going 55 M.P.H. they would travel over 100 yards which is the length of a football field. That's a long time for a vehicle weighing a couple tons to travel aimlessly down a road.

35 states have either passed laws against texting while driving or are in the process of enacting such a law. Makes you wonder how we lived so many years without cell phones. Oh, that's right...we got along just dandy. Are we that important that we need to be in touch 24/7? I guess we should ride along with a state patrolman as he stops to investigate an accident and see what 2 tons of steel can do a human body.

I know what you're thinking. This guy usually posts funny stuff. Well, this is kinda important to me. A soldier getting killed in a war is one thing. A little child being killed by someone calling her hairdresser is another. My blogs are seen by people all over the world. I ask you for your opinion. Please click onto the Comment thingy at the bottom of this blog and let me know what you think.
