DO YOU BELIEVE IN GHOSTS?

A few years ago, my wife and I spent a few days in Gatlinburg, Tenn. We stayed in a brand new high rise building with condo units to rent. Everything seemed normal in the kitchen, the living room and every other room except for one. Whenever my wife or I entered the bedroom, we got a creepy feeling. Neither one of us realized that the other was experiencing this because we just never talked about it until much later. I can't really explain the feeling other than it was cold and damp in there unlike the rest of the condo.

During the evening, my wife fell asleep on the couch, and I went onto bed. Several hours later, I got up to go to the bathroom. On the other side of the bed was only enough room to get in and out of bed. As I was walking alongside of the bed, I heard a distinct yet gravelly voice, say: "I'm over here." I turned and glanced at the tight area between the bed and the wall where the voice originated. It was a sight I'll never forget. It was a dark gray almost misty something or other in that corner. Needless to say, I was out of there in a flash. I told my wife what had happened, and it was then that we compared notes of our feelings about that particular room.

I must tell you that I am not the kind of guy who is prone to having such events happen in my life. That was the first and, hopefully, the last such experience. I still can remember that voice. It was loud, gravelly, but clear as a bell. "I'm over here." Scared the hell out of me if you'll pardon the french.

Now let's hear from you. I would love to hear from anybody out there who has had a similar experience. Just click onto the Comment thingy at the bottom of this blog and tell me about it. If not, then let me know if you believe in ghosts.

Just talking about that incident gives me a chill.

  1. I was having some problems in my marriage. My husband wanted a divorce and I did not believe in divorce. I am Catholic and take my religion very seriously. I prayed and prayed about what to do and one night something woke me up at 1:00am in the morning and I heard my deceased father's voice. SAY LOUD and CLEAR! Get Out! Get Out! I was not afraid since it was my dad, but I did go ahead and get the divorce. This happened many many years ago and I will never forget it. I have never had such an experience again.
